Martabak Ganteng

Recently, while I went out with my friends, my attention was caught by crowds that surrounding a small blue stall in my neighborhood. Those crowds are waiting for the new opened martabak stall named "MARTABAK GANTENG". Ganteng means handsome in Indonesian and I think they name it like that because some good looking men are working there. So yesterday we decided to give it a try (for the martabak, of course). First impression is the place is quite nice, simple and well-organized. It looks clean and they play music to accompany you while waiting.

Our first order was Mat Cheese, one of their best-selling martabak. The martabak made from matcha dough with Green Tea Kitkat and cheese as the toppings. At first, I thought it would taste sweet and salty (because of the cheese), but I didn't taste the saltiness of cheese in it except from the margarine.

The next one is Death by Chocolate which made from choco dough base with Toblerone and Nutella toppings. If I'm not wrong, it supposed to have one more topping which is Ovomaltine. I kinda disappointed by that cause I am big fan of Ovomaltine and it's not there! *cries  I just realized after I ate it. I wished they told me before.

Honestly, I prefer a basic dough of martabak rather than the one with flavor cause the texture will be different. The original one has fluffy and soft texture while the one with additional flavor resulted a heavier base. Anyway, I think they need to put more sugar cause it's not sweet enough for me. Overall, the taste is so-so.

P.S: maybe they can make it thinner, cause I think it's too thick. Thick and heavy dough might cause undercooked martabak. (caution)
